The linen spray is perfect for adding an aroma boost to the sheets on your bed or even to freshen up your clothes closet. You can use your favorite combinations of essential oils or go with a classic like lavender.
Lavender is known to help with nervousness, anxiety, stress and insomnia. This makes the lavender linen spray perfect for spraying your pillows right before bed. If you have a cranky little child or know someone who has trouble sleeping, this spray can help, along with a relaxing routine at bedtime.
I prefer to start with distilled or filtered water. This is only because I want to make sure that the water will not leave any residue after it evaporates. Also, when using distilled water, the mixture will last longer (mushrooms are less likely to grow). Add the hazel witch to the distilled water. Witch hazel (or vodka) will help the mixture evaporate faster and will also help to preserve it.
Add about 10 drops of lavender essential oil to the mixture. Carefully fill / pour into a spray glass bottle.
How to use flax spray
Spray your bedding before bedtime, or spray your clothes closer periodically to help keep the bedding smelling fresh. The best thing about linen sprays is that they are excellent for large items that can not be passed through the washing machine like sofas, rugs and stuffed animals. And, because of many of the antibacterial / antimicrobial qualities of some essential oils, they actually work against bacteria that cause unpleasant odors, not just mask.
Some other essential oil combinations to try flax spray are:
Energizing: Rosemary, mint, lemon, orange, grapefruit and tea tree. Edifying bergamot, orange, grapefruit and ylang ylang. Soothing and Anxiety: Lavender, chamomile, marjoram, geranium and incense.
