What is insomnia?

Insomnia is when a person can not sleep properly, resulting in fatigue during the day and poor performance caused by insufficient sleep. Insomnia can be transient, where it lasts a few days, short-term where it lasts two or three weeks or chronic, where insomnia lasts more than a month or more. People with sleep disorders may experience one of the following:

Inability to sleep despite being tired

Awakening in the night

Insufficient sleep

Wake up very early

Not feeling refreshed after sleeping

Common causes of insomnia

Physical: pain, arthritis, headaches, itching, restless legs syndrome

Physiological: interruptions in the sleep environment, including light, noise, jet lag, reading heavy books, etc.

Psychological: anxieties, depression, dementia, worries related to work, couple problems or death of close people.

Home remedies for insomnia

Tip 1:

Eat at least 3 cups of curd a day.

Tip 2:

Mix 2 teaspoons of honey in 1 glass of warm water. Drink right before bed. Give half the amount to the babies; will help them to put them
sleep.

Tip 3:

Take warm milk with honey.

Tip 4:

1 teaspoon of celery leaf juice with stems and 1 teaspoon of honey.

Tip 5:

Eat raw onion salad.

Tip 6:

2 teaspoons of fenugreek leaf juice with 1 teaspoon of honey at bedtime daily
