Our skin absorbs what we put on it. I remember that once I read the label of my cleaner to see that it was full of ingredients I could not pronounce and I promised myself that I would find alternatives that were natural, but also effective. It's good to have a range of skin care in your kitchen pantry, but if it does not work well, you will not feel amazing.

This is a mask that I use in the winter when my skin needs to be hydrated and also exfoliated from the dry skin cells that can produce the coldest weather.

INGREDIENTS

Avocado: Super moisturizing! The good fats of avocados will help to restore hydration to the skin and reduce inflammation.

Lemon juice: The value of the vitamin and the antibacterial properties of lemons are unmatched. Add the gentle exfoliation of the skin of the acidic nature of this fruit and make it the perfect complement to your homemade mask.

Coconut oil: I love using coconut oil in my face for its antibacterial properties and the fact that it can help reduce aging. Make sure it is a good quality, food grade coconut oil. You can store it in the fridge to get a fresher facial mask if your skin feels a little irritated.

Honey: Another antibacterial ingredient that is also naturally good for the treatment and prevention of acne. It is also extremely moisturizing and helps create that youthful glow.

METHOD

Take 1/4 of an avocado, 1 tablespoon of lemon juice, 1 teaspoon of coconut oil and 1 tablespoon of honey. Crush the avocado and mix the remaining ingredients with it.

This mask is best used after a shower, so the warm water has opened up the pores a bit.

Use your fingers to apply and rub on your skin. This mask can drip a little, so make sure you're still in your towel.

Relax for 10 minutes and rinse well with warm water.
