An ingredient contained in cabbage, broccoli and cauliflower called phenylisothiocyanate or PITC can not only attack tumor stem cells, but can also prevent relapse and the spread of different types of cancer.

Studies show that this compound has anti-inflammatory properties and a chemical activity in the prevention of cancer of the colon, prostate, breast, cervix, ovary and pancreatic. It is also being tested for lung cancer.
